Wheelchairs
My granddad needed a wheelchair to get around in when he was still alive. I can remember many happy days pushing granddad around when we went out for day trips or holidays within the UK. His chair was heavy and pretty hard to push if the truth be known. Today had he still been alive he would have had plenty of choice when it came to the styling of Wheelchairs . Modern versions are lightweight, practical and sturdy and they can be folded up or down in an instance. Self propelled versions are now available that come with funky mag wheels and they are extremely attractive to look at. The comfort levels on the Wheelchairs have also improved due to enhanced seat padding design. As well as manual chairs that need to be physically pushed or self propelled there are also electric versions of Wheelchairs that can be bought. I know for a fact that my granddad would have loved this type of chair as it would have given him a greater sense of independence. A simple to use joystick on the arm of this type of chair can propel it forwards, backwards, left or right. It`s good to see that plenty of updates have been made to Wheelchairs to make them even more user-friendly these days.
